Brad attended evening classes at Fairleigh-Dickinson University in NJ while working in NYC for R.W. Pressprich, a Wall St. Stock Exchange member. After graduating with a B.S. in Accounting he joined Haskins & Sells, a "Big 8" CPA firm, now known as Deloitte.
In 1974 he obtained his first real estate license while working as a Corporate Controller. Nearly twenty years later he would transition from Corporate Controller and part-time Realtor into Real Estate. In 1998 he joined Carteret Mortgage, while living in Raleigh, as a Branch Manager and was later promoted to Vice-President. Brad was able to combine his real estate and accounting skills.
In 2019 he formed Van Amberg Realty with an emphasis on owner-occupied homes. In 2025 he became an approved Broker with Visio Lending to add Investor DSCR loan products to his portfolio. He can now do "Fix and Flip" as well as 30-year fixed rate loans at rates that are similar to owner occupied homes.
